Unlike most people, I actually enjoy traveling. I even enjoy the airport. Yes, it is a long wait through one line after another just to get to the actual waiting area while waiting for the plane to arrive, deboard, be cleaned, and restocked before it's time to settle in for the next adventure. I'm the first to admit that part isn't exactly fun; however, if you're a people watcher like I am it's really not so bad. In fact, even you're a writer that means your brain is also probably constantly creating new characters and there are some good ones to be found in the airport and on the plane.
One thing I always find myself doing is looking around to see what people are reading. It's not as easy as it once was thanks to e-Reading devices; however, there are still a lot of people like myself who genuinely enjoy what it means to tangibly hold a good book in our hands and smell the pages when we think nobody is looking...or cares.
When I came across this article I couldn't help but stop and read it. I genuinely enjoyed the author's take on The Thing About Reading on Airplanes. Click here, sit back, and enjoy!
Love,
Juliet
